About Chat Kim-E

Chat Kim-E (chatkime.com) is a companion chat app powered by Kimi API technology, on the web, iPhone, and Android. It focuses on doing one thing well: warm, fast, streaming conversation with a capable AI model — no ads, no tracking, no clutter.

How it works

• A companion with a personality. Kimi keeps the same character across every device, and a short optional setup lets you shape how it talks to you.
• Natural voice turns. Speak, hear Kimi respond in a selected system voice, interrupt, or opt into hands-free turn taking.
• Optional memory. Explicit preferences can be remembered locally, edited, disabled, or forgotten at any time.
• Your working history stays with you. Conversations live in your browser and sync privately to your account, with local recovery copies, export/import, and cloud backup recovery.
• Or keep it entirely on your own machine. The Local Companion sends conversations to a model server you run yourself, and nothing reaches the cloud.
• Streaming responses that answer straight away by default. Deeper thinking can be switched on per conversation; either way you see the reply, never the model's internal monologue.
• No ads, no analytics, no tracking cookies.

What Kimi is not

It is a language model, not a person, and it will not claim otherwise. It is not a therapist, doctor, or emergency service, and it can be confidently wrong. If you are in danger or in crisis, please contact your local emergency number or a crisis line.

Current status

Chat Kim-E is a public beta with individual accounts, open to anyone — create one from the sign-in page, no invite needed. Hosted cloud chat is a subscription; the Local Companion is free. See Privacy and Terms for what is stored and how cancelling works.
